My work runs the gamut in terms of emotions I want to express, but itβs most important that my work is an authentic representation of where Iβm at. I donβt like the idea of smiling & putting on a happy face when Iβm not feeling it because it feels like lying; Iβd rather use my art as a way to reflect how Iβm authentically feeling & let myself be open to finding some joy or catharsis as I work versus forcing it.
