Looking for reasons to be inspired at home? Hoping for an excuse to take some time to yourself and to get creative? Us too! Thus the birth of Elektra Cosmetics Lewk Club.
We are meeting every week to give ourselves a reason to get motivated and do something fun. Each week, we’re going to do a different makeup look inspired by the theme of the week. You can watch LIVE as we create our interpretation of the week’s theme. Hopefully, this prompt will spark your creativity and you’ll join us. Play with whatever makeup you have at home.
You don’t have to have a reason to play and experiment, but if you’re looking for one…Here it is! The Lewk Club.
Here’s the Lewk Club LIVE video from week 3 – Holiday Edition.
Danielle:
Oh here we go.
Katie:
We are live. Hello everyone. Hi Danielle.
Danielle:
Hi Katie.
Katie:
This is Lewk Club Live. We are doing Holiday Edition so I’m very excited. Danielle how about you?
Danielle:
Yeah, I’m super excited. I’m a little tired from work but I’m still excited.
Katie:
Me too. I’m not tired from work but I am excited. We are at Elektra. We are going to give you a quick rundown of what we’re doing here. We are trying to keep ourselves inspired, trying to find ways to continue to create while we are at home. So the Lewk Club is the way that we are going to keep ourselves creative. We’re going to try out new products. We’re going to be inspired by different prompts and tonight’s prompt is holiday look so
we are going to create a never-before-seen look. I’ve never created this look. Danielle and I will be inspired by holiday colors. Last week we did Pumpkin Spice and it’s really fun. If you’re at home, use this as a prompt. Do a look that’s with whatever you got at home, something that’s holiday
inspired. You’ll end up coming up with a really fun look that you might not have put together. So we’ve created a little custom Creative Capsule. This is very similar to our holiday which we will be launching soon. A holiday look in a box. So everything you will need to make an entire holiday look and including a video tutorial on how to do it. So we’re getting inspired by this new product that we will be launching soon. We will have more detail for you in the next week. But for today, we’re using some sooner products that we think would look amazing at any holiday party or any holiday staying at home. I’m gonna start going through some of the products Danielle and I are going to be using tonight. So we are going to be featuring our power pigments or a great mineral product that is a beautiful shimmer it is… help me out Danielle
Danielle:
I mean they’re just so fun. They’re colorful. They’re bright. They’re shimmery. I mean they’re just beautiful. They’re really soft on the skin, non-abrasive, really easy to use
Katie:
And tonight we’ll use them as eye shadow. We’ll use them as highlighter. We’ll use them as lipstick but you can also do almost like a full face paint with them. They’re very long-lasting if you mix them with our liquid transformer.
So this is Golden Hour. If you can see right there, this really pretty white with a gold tint to it. This is my favorite highlighter to use lately.
So I’m excited to show you that our gold for our holiday look is Maid of Orleans and this is just like literally liquid gold. You can paint it on. You’ll look like one of the street performers with that.
And since we’re doing a little bit of a holiday theme, we wanted to throw a green in there and this is City Park. It’s a beautiful deep, kind of jade green. It’s maybe a little more blue than that and it’s so pretty. It’s deep but it’s got so many layers to it, and very lush I would say.
So those are our three power pigments that we’ll be using. And like I said, we’ll show you a few different ways to use them. If you don’t have power
pigments at home but you’re feeling inspired and you want to do a holiday look, no worries, use whatever you’ve got.
Our microfine that we’re using tonight is Gold AB, which we will be having a new glitter. We’re going to be launching some microfines, some new ones soon. And the Bolt Balm that we’re using today, we’re actually using a body shimmer that looks great on the face as well. It’s called Fire Opal. It is so pretty. It’s one of our favorites. It goes with everything. It’s got a lot of more microfine glitter in it so it’s still a chunky glitter but it has such a
texture to it because there’s so much beautiful goodness in there. It’s very multi-dimensional. You will see when we put it on this is also my favorite thing to put underneath other chunky bolt Balm, so if you have black and gold or Midas Touch, I love to layer this on this. There you go. Layer this on first
Danielle:
Yeah, so I love to tint it. So you can lay it down on your skin and then you can use a microfine on top of it while it is still wet, which is really cool
because let’s say I wanted a rose gold highlight or I wanted it to be blue, I could just add one of our microfine glitters just right on top and just kind of blend it in
Katie:
It’s very pretty. Actually, you gave me an idea. I forgot that’s what I ended up doing. I used that Fire Opal I just showed you and I put Gold AB on top of it for New Year’s eve and I looked like I was liquid gold baby and oddly enough it didn’t make an amazing 2020. I don’t know even though I looked so good. I’m so sorry guys, it was my fault.
Danielle:
I have this fancy dancy little palette that I bought from Amazon. It’s like a makeup palette. You don’t need this fancy waxed paper plate but I just like to separate things out and this is great too because if you are like me and like to get ready with your friends in a group, you’re not dipping into your glitters, you’re not dipping into your pigments, it really keeps a clean environment to always just place out what you need separately. Use what you need, dispose of the rest. It just keeps that clean environment. It’s gonna help prolong the life of your products by subdividing them out each time you use them. There’s not going to be any contamination. So I have just learned to always kind of distribute them
Katie:
And still a good idea even my plate is less fancy but I just have my plate, but you can do the same thing like Danielle just said with your friends. Everyone just has their own little plate, just like you have your wine glass. Maybe you can ride on, you know this is my special plate so we can all play with makeup together.
I already got Power Pigment on my forehead so I just mixed a little bit of Liquid Transformer with Golden Hour. I just did one drop into two, I had done two little dabs of Golden Hour here. Golden Hour is definitely a favorite of mine. Right now, I’m putting it in the corner of my eye and on my brow bone but I love it as a highlighter.
Danielle:
And I’m just putting a little eye primer on first. I am a big proponent of eye primer. Eye primer preps the surface of your eye. It helps prevent creasing. It also helps preserve the color of the shadow that you’re using because it prevents like an oxidation reaction with your skin. That sounds right, right?
Katie:
Yes
Danielle:
It also is a primer so it’s going to create a a good surface to build color onto. So if you’ve ever used eyeshadow with or without primer, there’s a big difference. You’ll get a much brighter color. You’ll get a longer lasting look if you use a primer. I use things like Urban Decay eye primer which you can find at Sephora but soon soon soon soon you will be able to experience some of our power primers
Katie:
Yet to be released primer. I agree with everything Danielle just said. It sounded very scientific and accurate. I’ll probably just be like it looks better, it feels better when you do a primer. I also like it’s a crime not to prime, but if you don’t have a primer, what I’ll do is I’ll use a really good thick concealer and just apply it. That’s what I did today and just put it on my lid as well. I definitely will use a primer if I’m going to be wearing shadow all day or like when I went to the Renaissance Festival a couple weekends ago. But tonight I’m gonna have it all, I’ll be all done up, I’ll take a few photos and then I’ll take it off, which I definitely got used to during quarantine. It was hard at first putting on beautiful makeup and then just taking it off and going nowhere, but now it’s it’s a fun little ritual. I get pretty, I get fun. So this is also, again, I hope for y’all an excuse to get creative and do your face.
We’re going to be using City Park tonight and it is so pretty I’m very excited for that and almost to that point actually so I am just putting the Maid of Orleans. I just did too little. Two little dabs of our Liquid Transformer and you can see it’s like metallic gold, pretty purdy but even if I used it dry, I’ll use it dry a little bit later and you can see the difference of how it looks on my skin. When you don’t mix it with anything.
So Danielle, I’m about to use City Park. Do you think I should go dry first or should I mix with a little transformer
Danielle:
I would mix with trans. Personally, I would mix with transformer. I mean it depends how you want this to look. This is kind of holiday looks can be a little bit more bold, they can be a little shinier, they can be more extensive. I mean that’s holiday makeup right so agreed. Go big or go home at the holidays, right?
Katie:
Or go big or and stay home. Go big and stay home, that’s our motto for the Lewk Club slash quarantine. Yes, you’re right. Though I do a lot more glitter and shimmer for holidays. It depends, some I’ll either do a bold lip in a kind of neutral eye or a really or the opposite is kind of what I do but sometimes I do both.
So I did the City Park, Danielle, but it was a little too intense for me, a little too harsh. So then I blended it but then I kind of blended out the gold a bit so I added a little more of my Maid of Orleans and now I’m going to come back in with a little dry City Park
Danielle:
Well that’s one of the things that’s so cool about the pigments. I’m using it with the Liquid Transformer so I’m getting quite a bold line but I will come back in and once it dries I’ll be able to just kind of like blend and buff it and I think I’ll get the effect that I’m looking for and if not, I’ll just run
with it and it will go a different direction
Katie:
So it’s fun that I’ve always used City Park with other kind of blue, kind of cooler tone colors. So this is my first time using it with gold and I’m finding all the gold. The fun thing about these pigments is they’re so multidimensional that all of a sudden you’ll be like oh wow I thought this was kind of cool but if it hits this light it’s kind of warm. So I’m really loving seeing all this gold come out. And the gold mixed with the City Park I kind of wouldn’t have done it on my own again because I mixed it with kind of blue, so it is kind of over blended but I’m liking the gold with the green.
It’s been fun doing these Lewk Clubs and hopefully y’all are at home trying different looks as well because I know Danielle and I have been doing some really fun bold shapes and just trying new things because that’s the point of Lewk Club, you just kind of try new things and it’s been looking amazing and I really like how different kind of Danielle and I are using the same products, what our faces end up looking like because that’s kind of the thing. Each person has their own inspiration and kind of, even if you do this ,use the same products, the same colors, will still turn out different
Danielle:
And I tell you I think I’ve said this before in the Lewk Clubs but whenever I’m doing a makeup look, I love Pinterest. Pinterest is like so inspirational
and I was like oh this is and I looked up, I put holiday makeup look, green eyes. And it just so happened that there’s one with green and gold so I’m like let me see if I can make this happen at all. So I’m going for this look today. I mean obviously I’m not this dewy model but you know, we’ll see what happens
Katie:
I started using a little bit of a smaller, softer small eyeshadow brush and I’m coming in with City Park dry because I kind of wasn’t loving how I blended it out. Then I added more and I wasn’t loving either so this is looking a little bit more how I wanted to
Danielle:
And I just keep on building. We’ll see what happens
Katie:
All right and I’m coming back in with my Maid of Orleans. Here’s where I’m kind of doing a little subtler but I got my eyes kind of blended to where I like them and then I came back in a couple of times with that Liquid Transformer in the middle to get the gold popping. And then the City Park I have is a little more blended, a little more subtle. Danielle, what kind of brush are you using? Is it angled or flat?
Danielle:
It actually has a little bit of a rounded like tapered end. Let’s see if there’s any writing on it. I think it was an eyeshadow brush. I got it with a kit probably
Katie:
It looks a little bit of an angle
Danielle:
Yeah, it has a little clump of the pigment on it that I’m just kind of continuing to work in to my look
Katie:
So I am going to do some different eyeliner Danielle suggested last week. If you use a different eyeliner and then put these pigments on top of it, it can last even longer if you just kind of pack some of the powder on over either liquid liner or a gel liner to use a gel liner. I’m actually going to use just an eyeshadow palette. I’m going to use an eyeshadow palette and I’m going to use a Liquid Transformer. Sometimes when I want to turn a dry eyeshadow that’s on a palette, I use, I’ll just show you, we won’t name names what palette this is, but I just put my Elektra Liquid Transformer and I use it on as a shadow and then I can make an eyeliner out of that as well and then I’m gonna come back and use the green City Park power pigment to put on top of it and see so that all kind of you’ll see that pretty green but it’ll have a little more depth and a little more staying capability. There you go all right.
So I’m coming in with my black shadow as my eyeliner and then I’m going to come back with the green City Park.
Danielle:
I’m just using a makeup wipe just to clean up a little bit of fallout. You can also use a little bit of tape or something. Some people will actually, prior to putting eyeshadow on, they’ll kind of powder their face so they can just brush the powder off. But I am eyes before face person, some people are face before eyes
Katie:
I go all over the place. I do half my eyes. I actually force myself to do my eyeliner right now. I usually would go onto my blush and my highlighter. But I’m trying to have some semblance of normalcy, some semblance of a structure that makes sense. I think I just get excited about whatever I’m doing and then I go on to the next thing I’m excited about. I’m like, oh my cheeks that would be fun. I actually think I probably do it a little bit I’ll start with my eyes and then usually, before I do my eyeliner, I’ll move on to other things because sometimes I’ll realize I need it a little more and I’ll come back so I don’t ever kind of do one whole part section at one time. But I don’t know if that actually makes sense. So I did concealer here usually I wait on concealer just in case I have any fallout here but if you’ve seen me, I just kind of today since I did my face slash base first, I take up this is kind of a little hard but I’ll usually take a fluffy powder brush and wipe away any fallout.
It’s a fine line of making sure you have the right amount not too much of them if you have just the right amount of the Liquid Transformer, you won’t have any fallout but if you have too much, it’ll be like using too much water when you do watercolors. Your pigment isn’t going to be as strong which is kind of what’s happening right now with my eyeliner. Use a little too much power picking makes you a liquid transformer when that happens just pack on a little more of your either power pigment or for me this packed eyeshadow so
Danielle:
So I feel like I need my look is bold so I need some brows to kind of balance this out. My brows are looking a little light right now
Katie:
So I’m doing a little folder eyeliner and now I just did my eyeliner and now I’m going to take that same angular brush and put it, mix it in. I already have transformer on this brush and so I’m mixing with the City Park
Ooh the City Park over black does look good. I’m glad I tried this. So this is going to look to me if I just kind of came in and quickly did which I’ve done before just City Park as my eyeliner, it could have it really probably would have muddled up and mixed in with the City Park that I’m using
in my outer corner of my eye. So doing the black first and then coming in with the City Park again is really pretty and you can see the green now but it’s still bold and stands out as opposed to if I didn’t do that black underneath it first
Danielle:
And I’m using a little bit of the Golden Hour, the little white and I’m trying this dry. I’m going to see what happens if I pop it in the corner of my eye a little bit or that little
Katie:
Yeah, Golden Hour dry is really pretty in the corner of the eye. I mixed transformer with mine earlier but I think it works really good as well just
seriously just seeing City Park mixed with Maid of Orleans. I’m just like ooh so shiny and shimmery, no it’s really pretty
Danielle:
But I actually used eye primer before on a q-tip like if you have I’m notorious for not getting my winged liner to match and I’m like oh well one’s going this way and the other one’s going this way so I will put primer on a q-tip and I’m usually able to just clean up like what’s wrong what’s not working
Katie:
Speaking of, I’m doing that right now, trying to fix my winged eyeliner. I have major issues with that. I’ve never used tape. I do have a primer trick. One of the best face primers is, my sister learned this from makeup artists probably on live journal in 1999, to use monistat chafing cream
Danielle:
Wait like Monistat like for natural yeast infection?
Katie:
Yes and thank you for spelling it all out.
Danielle:
I’ve heard of using for under-eye bags. I’ve heard of using hemorrhoid cream but never Monistat
Katie:
No it’s a chafing cream you put on the inside of your legs for the summer. It just creates a barrier on the skin, a waterproof barrier and it feels like
baby powder but liquid and it doesn’t smell like baby powder and probably doesn’t give you cancer hopefully and if you use that as a face primer
your makeup will last all day and you’ll feel your face feels amazing so that’s a little trick
Danielle:
That’s the weirdest thing I’ve ever heard I don’t know if I would put something that was designed for my thighs on my face
Katie:
But it’s win. I don’t know
Danielle:
That just seems weird
Katie:
You’re here for, people are here for, makeup tricks.
So I just finished my eyeliner. It’s not perfectly even but my face and it isn’t even.
I’m doing my highlighter. This is a little, I am not using a great brush for this but I’m just using Golden Hour dry. You can see it as my highlighter right here
Danielle:
I wonder if it has like silicone in it or something that might be why it feels so smooth. So I feel like some of the face primers like smashbox are
Katie:
No but you can feel that your skin can’t really sweat through it or be beat up and so it just kind of works on the face and it’s really just immediately goes from a liquid kind of gel into a powder and just stays all day and holds your makeup. So this is my Golden Hour. I’m doing a little bit of blush right now
Danielle:
All right I’m gonna use a little of this Urban Decay to see if I can clean up this little spot and so I’m just putting it on my little q-tip and it’s like a little magic eraser like see it’s under control, now it’s not so crazy
Katie:
Yeah q-tips are your best friend or mine. All right, oh I forgot my microfine. I forgot my gold glitter. I didn’t even set it out so I’m using Gold AB microfine. We will be in our holiday look in the box like I said that we will be launching in the next week. We will be actually putting a new microfine
that has not been seen. It is called Cleopatra and she is beautiful and that will be our gold microfine that we’ll be including in the holiday look in the box.
So now I’m going to put on my mac there now. The cool thing about a ab glitters is they stand for aurora borealis. You can really see they have a multitude of colors. See, just even right there you can see the gold, the green, orange, blue, it kind of hits every little color of the rainbow so the green really comes out.
I’m going to go ahead and start putting on my mascara, put a little too much red blush on and I just used a little flush that I had
Danielle:
And I’m just integrating. You know me, I love to use some of my like regular colors so I’m just throwing just a little black in the crease just a normal eyeshadow that I have to kind of give it a little bit more shading. There a little bit dimensional item
Katie:
What lip are you doing Danielle?
Danielle:
Oh good question. I think I’m going to do radiant red because it’s what I have
Katie:
And I have that also. Go ahead
Danielle:
With a little ruby red. I don’t happen to have the radiant red glitter with me so. But before I do that I’m going to add a little fire litter to my lid
Katie:
I’m going to go with Fire Opal and I’m using the q-tip so you can use an applicator. I like to use the applicator for the Bolt Balms then for our fire opal body shimmer I like to use a q-tip sometimes to kind of just put it around where my highlighter is. I can kind of blend out the edges a little bit and it won’t be as harsh as if I use the applicator or if you want to do something kind of subtle like I’m doing. You could still do the applicator and then just blend out with your fingertips so just see that’s that fire opal how pretty subtle but very still chunky glitter but that microfine gives it a really pretty shimmer and that’s why it’s called body shimmer.
Danielle:
I’m working on adding a little Gold AB to my lid
Katie:
Okay so I’m gonna do so I just went on my fingertip and took some Gold AB. This is what Danielle was talking about that you can. Since it’s still wet I can go in and color my fire opal which already is very gold or it has a gold tone. You can see how much I just kind of added to it but you can also make it a different color. I happen to be using the same color that it already is and then I’m just going to kind of blend out so it’s not too extreme
So okay so now you can see I have a lot of gold but instead of the Midas Touch, which is a really chunkier Bolt Balm that we have, this is a little more subtle but still very very pretty, very noticeable. Got a lot of shimmer from different sides and I’m gonna just use a little fire opal. My shimmer
right here without the gold ab on top of it.
Danielle:
I’m just using a little liquid liner, it’s a bold look. I feel like I need a little extra, there we go. So I just did a little bit right there
Katie:
Are you good with the liquid liner Danielle?
Danielle:
I don’t know
Katie:
All right I’m going to use Danielle’s trick that I’ve never done before, which is I’m putting on my red radiant red lipstick. Danielle and I will be wearing the same one but she’s gonna top hers with glitter and I’m gonna top mine with the Maid of Orleans gold pigment just in the center how Danielle has taught me and I haven’t tried it yet. So I’m excited to do a little bit of an ombre lip. I usually just do pure matte red. I love this radiant red it’s like orangey, it’s a really good matte lipstick that doesn’t dry out your lips
Danielle:
I’m adding a little green on top of my liquid liner just to give it a little pop of color
Katie:
Pretty I like it
Danielle:
You can see it kind of makes it a little bit shiny green
The other thing that’s kind of cool that you can do with the liquid transformer is if you do have a gel liner and you’re finding oh there’s a lot of drag
when I’m putting it on like it’s not going on smoothly, you can actually take a little bit of your gel transformer, you know if it’s in a pot and you can scoop it out, put it on your pallet, on your plate, and then if you put a drop of liquid transformer on top of it, you can kind of mix it and it will make
a smoother kind of blend
Katie:
A little wetter kind of
Danielle:
Yeah yeah basically makes it wetter
Katie:
I am taking a little too long to do my lipstick so I’m gonna just do another little dab to get it wet so I can get that pigment to adhere to my lip if
I put it on dry, it wouldn’t really stay so I’m just going to come with a q-tip or my finger but I’m going to use a q-tip and get that Maid of Orleans
powder oh that was bold
Danielle:
All right now I’m going to put a little under eye on
Katie:
All right I’m not doing so great with my q-tip on my lips so I’m gonna come in with my fingertip.
Danielle:
I’m gonna use a little Golden Hour as a highlighter
Katie:
Danielle did this in like two seconds last week. It looked really pretty but I’m trying to do a little ombre in a redwood
Danielle:
I like it
Katie:
I guess usually when I do an ombre they’re kind of closer colors so you just have to be careful because this is a really dark bold red and the gold is very metallic, very intense. I mean you saw it’s like a paint when I did it here. So I’m just used it dry Maid of Orleans but I’m kind of coming back in with my lipstick just because I think just kind of trying to get it to look deliberate that I have the gold right in the center of my lip and not like I accidentally just blobbed it there.
Danielle:
I don’t really like a lot of stuff on my face so I actually normally just use concealer and like a little powder foundation and as my blush, I’m using a
little of the Fleurty, this pretty, pretty pink pigment so we’ll see how this turns out maybe I’ll try not to put a big stripe on my face like I did last week
Katie:
But it looked pretty when you were done
Danielle:
with the satsuma
Katie:
I think just I gotta get my shapes better I feel like when I kind of I’m not good at evening things out so then I just blend until it makes sense
I see what I did I got a little bit of the fire opal on my lip because I think I used the wrong q-tip but yeah it’s pretty though
Danielle:
opal also looks really good on the lips like a fire opal, ruby red mix on my lips let’s see what happens. Oh I need some mascara
Katie:
I think I’m gonna add a little bit. I’m finishing up but I’m gonna add a little of the gold ab to my lip just because just because I feel like it. There it is
and let’s see if I have my clear lip glass. This is our clear mint glaze that I was talking about and I’m just going to, since my lip has dried with my pigment on it, I’m just going to come in to put the glitter on top and just dab a little bit of any clear glass. But this one super sticky is the key is that
and it’s got a really good hold and I’m gonna come in with the not used q-tip. Get a little the sticky off from my lip so I can stick the glitter and then
put it back on. Now I’ve got even more razzle dazzle so important if you notice me with the pigment, I was able to kind of mix my lips around and
even out the lipstick or the pigment with the glitter. You’re not going to want to do that because it will kind of degrade the glitter and you’ll be on your lips so I’m just kind of blotting it out on the rest of the lip and then once it dries it’ll be set. It’ll just be a little uncomfortable for maybe a minute or two and then, once it dries, it’ll be set all night
Danielle:
Let’s see if my long wear is still sticky enough
Katie:
So just want to say thank you to the people that are watching that were in the Level Up Your Lewk workshop and are now in the Lewk Club facebook group because we got the great inspiration for y’all to do a holiday kit. So we will be introducing soon a holiday, it’s gonna be holiday look in the box. So everything you need for a look in the box. It’s exciting. So we’ll be launching that soon. We wanted to get it done quickly so everyone could have a fun holiday look ready to go this season whether you stay at home or go visit your family or at a socially distant event. We’ll be unveiling all the
products pretty soon but it’s basically what you’re seeing tonight but we will be swapping out the gold ab with cleopatra which is a new microfine that we’ve not launched yet and that’s gonna be our look in the box. We kind of decided not to do the lip this season because many people will be wearing masks and it doesn’t really matter if you have this beautiful lip so we decided we’ll have it as an add-on but the now i’ve already put my lip on but see I’m already ready to go and then if you are just staying at home or in a small group then you can add the lip and we also will do an add-on
for the mistletoe which is a red and green Bolt Balm that we launched last year for the holidays so it’s a super fun one and we’ll be posting about all that in our facebook group and just pay attention also everyone else on our facebook page if you have not liked our page make sure to give it a like it seems like you probably did because you got the notification and you’re here and you’re watching and we appreciate you spending your tuesday night with us and thank y’all for the suggestion we’re excited for this holiday extravaganza that we are calling the holiday look in the box
Danielle do you want to do a quick overview of saying what we used everywhere in our face?
Danielle:
Yeah, so lip, I have some radiant red and I topped it with our red glitter, it is our ruby red glitter so creates a very fun holiday glittery lip. On my eyes, so on my lid, I have Maid of Orleans which is a beautiful gold tone and I used it with the liquid transformer. In my crease, you will find City Park and that’s just a beautiful deep green color, just very silky and luxurious. I did use just some matte white that I have just in my makeup bag but on top of that or along with that I used golden hour which is a beautiful highlight color. You can kind of see that little shimmer just below my brow and I also
used it here near the inner canthus of the eye. Those are the colors I used oh and a little gold glitter on top of Maid of Orleans, just for that little extra holiday sparkle which doesn’t translate the best on camera but it’s amazing
Katie:
I use Golden Hour as my highlighter. You can see all this kind of light gold here. I use as a highlighter dry, I used Maid of Orleans with liquid transformer in the center of my lid and in the corner of my lid. I used City Park both dry and with liquid transformer as my green. I put a City Park power pigment on top of black eyeliner to do my liner, my green liner
Danielle:
I did that too
Katie:
and I did some gold microfine in the center of my lid as well mixed with liquid transformer. I used fire opal body shimmer right here with some gold glitter on top. I did gold ab but we’ll be using cleopatra will be our new kind of gold ab, it’s a little bit different but it is a gorgeous gold so I used that there and I used a radiant red long wear lipstick and the gold pigment on top Maid of Orleans and a little gold glitter on top as well. It’s a lot of gold glitter so and these are our holiday looks. So thank you all so much
Danielle:

Katie:
We’re on Pinterest and find us on Pinterest and maybe Danielle we can get you to put some of your other inspiration. We want to pin some other things on our Pinterest board. It’s not just our looks and what people have done with the lecture products but just stuff with it that inspires us so we’re going to try to work on that. And we hope we inspired you a little bit tonight and thanks everyone for all these amazing tips in the comments we really appreciate that and we would love it if you did a look sometime this week and like Danielle said, whatever holiday look means to you it doesn’t have to be literal, like we might have done and also spoiler alert we will be doing some blue and silver and icy colors next week for our Lewk Club
Danielle:

Danielle and Katie are going to do Holiday Look inspired by holiday colors. They will be using some products that we think would look amazing at any holiday party or any holiday staying at home.
Featuring Elektra Cosmetic’s Power Pigments, microfine glitters, and Bolt Balms.
First is the Golden Hour. This is really pretty white with a gold tint to it. This light golden dust is a favorite highlighter to give you the same look as that magical Golden Hour before the sun leaves the sky.
- Our gold for our Holiday Look is Maid of Orleans, with yellow undertones, this pigment paints on with our liquid transformer like gold leaf. You can paint it on you like one of the street performers.
- And since we’re doing a holiday theme, we will put some green using the City Park. It’s a beautiful, deep, jade green with hints of gold shimmering through. It’s got so many layers to it and very lush, it brings a moment of tranquility and a touch of sunshine.
- The microfine that we’re using is Gold AB. This eye-catching glitter is a beautiful shade of gold with holographic sparkle.
- and the Bolt Balm that we’re using today is actually a body shimmer that looks great on the face as well, it’s called Fire Opal. It is pretty and multidimensional, and one of our favorites because it goes with everything. It got a lot of microfine glitter in it so still a chunky glitter but with much texture and beautiful goodness.
So those are the products that we’ll be using. They’re very long-lasting especially if you mix them with our Liquid Transformer. In this tutorial, we’ll show you a few different ways to use them.
If you don’t have Power Pigments at home but you’re feeling inspired and you want to do a holiday look, no worries, use whatever you got.
As an overview of this week’s Lewk Club LIVE Tutorial, Danielle used some Radiant Red on her lip and topped it with our red glitter, our Ruby Red glitter, to create a very fun holiday glittery lip. On her eyelids, she put Maid of Orleans, which is a beautiful gold-tone, and she used it with the Liquid Transformer. On her crease, she put City Park, a beautiful deep green color, very silky and luxurious. She used some matte white and Golden Hour as her highlight color below her brows, and near the inner corner of her eye.
Katie, on the other hand, used Golden Hour dry as her highlighter. She used Maid of Orleans with Liquid Transformer in the center and corner of her lid. She used City Park both dry and with Liquid Transformer as her green. She put City Park power pigment on top of black eyeliner to do her liner, something Danielle also did. She did some Gold microfine in the center of her lid as well mixed with Liquid Transformer. She used Fire Opal body shimmer with some Gold glitter on top. She also did Gold AB and she used a radiant red long wear lipstick and the gold pigment on top Maid of Orleans and a little gold glitter on top as well.
We’ve created a little custom Creative Capsule similar to our holiday look that we will be launching soon. A holiday lewk-in-a-box, it got everything you will need to make an entire holiday look and including a video tutorial on how to do it. We will have more detail for you in the next week.
