Hey Elektralytes! Danielle here today.
I’m going to talk a little bit about the Power Pigments, which are these amazing cosmetic grade plastic-free, cruelty-free, mineral pigments that just are so fantastic when you want to get creative with your face.
And I’m going to talk a little bit about different ways that you can use them.
So yeah, let’s just start out.
I’m using these little palettes from Amazon but really any paper plate will do when you’re mixing up some of the Power Pigments.
All of the pigments come with this little sifter, and to use it, you’re going to open that sifter. You’re going to knock a little bit of what you want to use.
I always remember to close the sifter and then get that excess out and then close it back up – prevents those spills in the makeup bag.
#1 Liquid Transformer
And the first thing I’ll show you is using it with our liquid transformer.
This works very easily. You just put a couple of drops into that power pigment and then I typically use either a brush or a dough tip applicator and I usually just kind of like mix it up.
You want it not too drippy so you can control it. I did about two drops for this one so that looks about right from there. I’m gonna apply it to the skin.
You can see it creates a pretty dramatic bold line. Has a little shimmer to it which is just beautiful.
#2 Dry Brush
I can also use Power Pigment without the liquid transformer, just on dry skin.
For this one, I’m going to grab an eye shadow brush and I just basically pop it into the pigment – sticks to the brush nicely.
And then from there, I can dry brush it onto my skin – creates a totally different effect.
So much lighter more shimmery coat.
#3 Glitter Glaze
Now, I can also use a bigger brush.
When I’m creating a look, as well, if I want to cover more area with the liquid from there I can brush it on as well.
I can also use it with our glitter glaze.
And this is pretty cool because with this I can put the glitter glaze directly on my skin and put the pigment on top or I can take the pigment and mix it in with the glaze to almost make a colored lip gloss.
So I have a little dough tip applicator, but any lip brush will work with that pigment, and then from there creates beautiful coverage.
#4 Primer
Another way that you can use any of the power pigments is with any primer.
I’m using this experimental primer that we’re working on right now.
I basically lay down the primer where I want that pigment to stick and I’ll show you with orange again just so you can kind of see the difference.
So I use kind of that powdered orange.
You can see where I’ve laid down that primer versus where the primer is not. You can get a darker coverage there.
#5 Gel Transformer
Last but not least, let’s play with this gel transformer.
Our liquid transformer is very viscous. This has a little bit thicker consistency.
Let’s try Blue Bayou. I think that will look very pretty with the orange.
This has a little leftover pigment in it already so I’m going to just dump that out.
I always like to dump out my extra pigment out of the pot. It doesn’t get caught in the jar and cause the jar knot to seal well.
I’ll start with one drop of the gel and you can see it’s just a little bit stickier consistency and here very very nice coverage.
So we have 30 colors again of our Power Pigments and they can be used multiple ways on dry skin with a liquid transformer, with our gel transformer, with our clear glitter glaze, or any makeup primer.
We have the rainbow spectrum, we have the earth tones and we have all of these beautiful highlighters.
Thanks again for watching Elektralytes. Have a great day!
