How to Apply Glitter Lip
- Start with light layers to get the shape of your lip down.
- Now that you have your general lip shape in, go in with a little more product and fill it out to get the color even.
- Press on the Microfine Glitter. It’s a cosmetic-grade glitter so it’s safe on the lips and the eyes. You can use your fingers, an applicator brush or a Q-tip.
- Press the glitters in. You can stretch your lips out a little so you can get in all the nooks and crannies. When you run out of glitter, just put more on your applicator.
Tips:
- When you apply the glitter, you want your lipstick to still be a little wet. That’s what adheres the glitter to your lipstick.
- If your longwear lipstick is already dry, apply just a little more to get it wet again and then tap on the glitter.
- If you feel like you’ve gone outside your lip line, just get a piece of tape and you can clean that edge right up.
After a couple of minutes, your lip will be setting. After it dries you’ll notice it’s not grainy at all. It’s super lightweight and that’s because the flake of Elektra Cosmetics’ Microfine Glitter is much finer than other cosmetic grade glitters. So because of that, it’s lighter and more comfortable!
Sarah actually wore this lip kit, in a different color, at her own wedding, and didn’t reapply it once. It lasted through drinks, through dancing, and singing on stage…and even for the after party in her neighbor’s pool!
