How do you apply Bolt Balm so it lasts all day?
Use the included spatula applicator or your finger to apply the Bolt Balm in thin layers as flat to the skin as possible. The flatter you lay it to skin the longer it holds. You can always add more layers or fill in “empty spots” once each layer has dried a bit. Watch the tutorial by clicking here.
Help! It’s been a couple of years and my Bolt Balm is drying out. What can I do?
Fear not! You can bring your Bolt Balm back to life very easily by adding water (use distilled water for purity). Push all glitter to the bottom of the jar. Slowly add water to the jar so it barely covers the dry glitter. Don’t over fill. Put the lid back on and then let it sit for 5-10 minutes. Open it back up and gently stir using the applicator. It should be ready for use!
What is Transformer and why do I need it?
The Liquid Transformer enhances our glitters and Power Pigments, creating a long-lasting, vibrant effect on the skin without the need for glue or adhesive. Its water-based formula gently transforms fine glitters and powders, helping them stay precisely where applied. Are Elektra products vegan friendly?
Yes! All of our products are vegan, cruelty-free, and developed with sensitive skin in mind, but it is important to test in a small area and if irritation occurs, discontinue use.
Can I use Bolt Balm or Body Shimmers on eyelids?
DO NOT use these products on eyelids or close to eyes. Bolt Balm & Body Shimmer glitter gels are designed for special effects, and are not considered safe to use as eye makeup. Avoid use on anyone if there is a danger of them rubbing the glitter into their eyes, this includes children. Sorry kids, Bolt Balm is glitter for grown ups! What’s the easiest way to remove Bolt Balm and Body Shimmers?
Ok, this might sound crazy but…a lint roller or tape works well! Simply roll the lint roller over the area with glitter and it will be gone! Remember, use caution when using a lint roller or tape in the eye area, your lashes and the sensitive skin in these areas will thank you.
Can I simply wash my face or shower glitter off?
Yes, glitter and shimmers will come off in the shower, but it’s a good idea to avoid washing shimmers and glitters down the drain for a variety of reasons.
That is why we recommend the lint roller and tape method on body gels, and makeup wipes on eye and lip makeup.
Can I use the Body Shimmer on my face?
Absolutely! Just like Bolt Balm, the Body Shimmers can be worn on the hair, body, or highlight but are not safe to use in the immediate eye area. Combining shimmers with Bolt Balm provides a great effect as a base, plus using a Microfine Glitter on top helps create your favorite custom hue.
What does the Mint Glaze Glitter Primer do?
It is a refreshingly minty, high viscosity moisturizing lip gloss that provides the perfect base for creating a long-lasting glitter lip by topping with our Microfine Glitter. You can also mix it with the Power Pigments to create a custom-color lipgloss.
How long does the glitter lip last?
Elektra Cosmetics longwear lipsticks are great on their own but when topped with the matching Microfine Glitter topper, they can last 8-12 hours, but this really depends on your lip habits. You can drink and eat like normal once the glitter has set after a few minutes dry-time.

How many servings of Bolt Balm come in a jar?
A lot! It really depends how much area you are applying to and how thick coverage you prefer. On average though, most people can get 80-100 applications out of one large jar. Bolt Balm comes in a shareable size so you can enjoy with friends and it can even last for years.
